Located south of the island, Sant Josep is the largest municipality in Ibiza. When It shares Platja d'en Bossa (with the municipality of Eivissa) and west, the bay of Sant Antoni. Besides the village which gives its name to the municipality, includes the parishes of Sant Jordi, Sant Agustí and Cubells, all picturesque villages with beautiful churches and peaceful atmosphere.
The municipality has approximately 80 kilometers of coastline, which is also home to major tourist resorts, some of the most beautiful coves of the coast Pitiusan, as Cavallet, Ses Salines, Cala Jondal Cala d'Hort, Cala Carbo, Cala Vedella , Cala Comte Tarida or Platges also fishing hidden coves, as Porroig is Xarco, sa Caleta, Cala or Cala Corral Llentrisca, which retain all the flavor of yesteryear.< The coast also is full of cliffs and islands, as Vedra, is Vedranell, sa Conillera, s'Espartà, Illa des Bosc or Bledes countries, who preside over the horizon from the ground. The scenery is very beautiful, especially in the two protected natural areas, the natural park of Ses Salines nature reserve d'Es Vedra is Vedranell and the islands of the West in which the nature remains pure. |

The town offers attractive routes for its nature, which also include defensive towers located in magical spots, such as the Pirate in Cala d'Hort, the d'en Rovira Platges Comte des Carregador or near Ses Salines.
The highest mountain in the island, sa Talaia of 475 meters, is located in the center of town and from there can be considered one of the best views of the island. |
